New Zealand Announces Up to NZ$12 Million for Whale Trail Tourism Development

On 3 November, the Government announced investment of up to NZ$12 million to connect Picton to the Whale Trail cycling and walking track. On 4 November, it also confirmed a grant of up to NZ$500,000 for improved visitor and community facilities in central Kaikōura. These developments create opportunities for tourism operators, accommodation providers and regional hospitality businesses.
